Cornelia Kraske (born September 22, 1969 in Cottbus ) is a German costume designer and fashion designer .

Life

Cornelia Kraske grew up in Hoyerswerda . She studied fashion design at the FHTW Berlin and then worked as a designer in Berlin . She gained her first theater experience with Frank Castorf at the Volksbühne Berlin . Afterwards she was a costume assistant at the State Theater in Nuremberg . She has been working as a freelancer since 2001 and designs costumes for theaters in Germany, Austria and South Tyrol, e.g. B. for the State Theater Nuremberg, the Opera Festival Heidenheim , the Theater in Heilbronn , the Schauspielhaus Graz , the Schauspielhaus and the Music Theater in Linz as well as for the United Theaters in Bolzano . She works with the directors Georg Schmiedleitner , Axel Vornam , Frank Behnke , Hermann Schneider , Ingo Putz and Alejandro Quintanaund as well as the directors Petra Luisa Meyer and Bettina Bruinier . Since 2020 Kraske has been working as a fashion designer in addition to her work as a costume designer.

Cornelia Kraske is married to the set designer Stefan Brandtmayr .
