GDR championships in indoor fistball 1972/73

The GDR indoor fistball championships in 1972/73 were the staging of the GDR championships for men and women in indoor fistball in the GDR in the 1972/73 season. The season started on the weekend of 25/26. November 1972. The final tournaments took place on March 24, 1973 in the sports hall in Wildau .

The four best-placed teams in the GDR Oberliga took part in the tournaments. Both Hirschfeld agencies successfully defended their titles. While the women were left behind in the Pentacon Dresden final, the men were superior to Chemie Zeitz in the final. In the most exciting meeting, the gentlemen from Lok Dresden gave the old and new titleholders a gripping duel in the semifinals and were only marginally defeated by 33:34, with the Elbestädter leading with 32:29 shortly before the end of the game.
