GDR championships in indoor fistball 1957/58

The East German championships in the indoor Fistball 1957/58 were the sixth staging of the East German championships of men and women in the hall Fistball the GDR in the season 1957/58. The championship finals took place on March 29th and 30th, 1958 on the premises of the DHfK in Leipzig .

The teams were divided into three squadrons. Stahl Megu Leipzig and Empor Barby exchanged the seasons.

The two best of each season qualified for the championship games.

The game days were scheduled as follows:

• Season I: December 7, 1957 in Dresden (locomotive sports hall)
• Season II: January 12, 1958 in Rostock - Marienehe
• Season III: February 1, 1958 in Erfurt

2nd matchday

• Season I: January 18, 1958 in Großenhain
• Season II: February 8, 1958 in Halle / Saale
• Season III: February 9, 1958 in Staßfurt

For reasons unknown, the women of Stahl Megu Leipzig did not take part in the championship games as the winners of Season III. The source only mentions that “everything is not yet clear here” . Finally, the third-placed team, Einheit Weimar, took part in the championship finals instead of the Leipzig women.

Promotion / Relegation : The last of each season was relegated to the league. In the promotion games, Stahl Eisleben (district group west), Motor Rathenow (north) and Lok Görlitz (south) prevailed.
