GDR field fistball championships in 1981

The GDR field fistball championships in 1981 were the 32nd edition of the fistball championships on the field in the GDR in 1981 since 1949 .

The two final tournaments of the four first-placed women and men in the Oberliga took place on Saturday, September 5, 1981, in Weißwasser / Oberlausitz .

In the women's final, defending champions Chemie Weißwasser, Pentacon Dresden, Lok Schwerin and Lokschleife faced each other.

TU Dresden and the Heidenau syndicate had to fight against the league relay winners to stay in the league. While Heidenau prevailed, the Dresden University Sports Association only won one victory in four games. In return, Rotation Berlin managed to rise again with ease.

Relegated to the league were Motor Schleusingen, Lokomotive Güstrow and Motor Zwickau Süd. Motor Geithain, Plasttechnik Greiz and SG Görlitz were
promoted from the league to the GDR Oberliga as the top division. Since Motor Geithain did not meet the conditions for promotion (with regard to the offspring), Motor Zwickau Süd was able to remain in the top division.
