GDR championships in indoor fistball 1960/61
The East German championships in the indoor Fistball 1960/61 were the ninth staging of the East German championships of men and women in the hall Fistball the GDR in the season 1960/61. The men's championship finals took place on 25/26. March 1961 in the Ernst-Grube-Halle of the DHfK in Leipzig .

The teams were divided into three squadrons. Lok Görlitz exchanged the relay with Lok Köthen. Motor Rathenow also switched from season 3 to season 2 and the SG Eutritzsch to season 3.
The first of season 1, three teams of season 2 and the two best of season 3 qualified for the championship games.

- Season III: November 13, 1960 in Erfurt ( Thuringia Hall )

- Season III: February 19, 1961 in Leipzig

The teams were divided into three squadrons.
The two best of each season qualified for the championship games.

- Season II: December 4th, 1960 in Wurzen
- Season III: November 13, 1960 in Erfurt
2nd matchday
- Season I: February 19, 1961 in Senftenberg
- Season II: January 8, 1961 in Schwerin
- Season III: January 8, 1961 in Staßfurt , Paul-Merkewitz-Halle
The composition of Season 1 remained the same, only the relegated Motor Dresden Ost was replaced by the Dresden locomotive as a newcomer. In season 2, the newcomer Lok Schwerin II replaced the relegated Lok Güstrow. In season 3, relegated tractor Schleusingen was replaced by the promoted unit Halle. Presumably LVB Leipzig was renamed to Aufbau Leipzig.

Promotion / Relegation : The last of each season was relegated to the league. For the next season, the league was expanded to four seasons. In addition to the three usual promoters, there was another qualifying round, in which Motor Leipzig-Mockau and Lok Güstrow also fought for a top division starting place.
