GDR field fistball championships 1974

The GDR field fistball championships in 1974 were the 25th edition of the fistball championships on the field in the GDR in 1974.

The championship kicked off with the first game in mid-May 1974, in which Master Chemistry Zeitz and runner-up ISG Hirschfelde drew.

The final round took place on September 21, 1974 in the Ernst Thälmann Stadium in Zeitz . The ISG Hirschfelde became GDR champions for the 13th time since 1955.

A new mode for the finals has been introduced this season. According to their placement in the main round, the four final round participants received points (3,2,1,0) for the final round. Starting this season, all teams played against each other in the final round. The final placement resulted from the addition of the points achieved in the final round and the default counter.

In the women’s final tournament, SG Görlitz deservedly won, while last year's champion Chemie Weißwasser did not find the right attitude and only came third behind ISG Hirschfelde.
