Draschwitz is a village in the Leipzig district in Saxony . Politically, the place has belonged to Grimma since 2011 . It is located on the S 37 state road between Ablass and Zschoppach .

history

Mgf sold in 1286. Heinrich von Meißen passed the upper and lower courts in Draschwitz to the Buch monastery . These courts had belonged to the Burgrave of Döben, who had announced his abandonment on the same date. In 1289 and 1325 these rights were confirmed. In 1327 Heinrich de Warmoldisdorf sold his feudal estates in Droschenitz to the Buch monastery after he had given them up to the Lords of Colditz. In 1330 Bf. Withego von Meißen gave the monastery a tithe in Drozcinicz , which Johann de Dewyn had abandoned. In 1333 the Burgrave of Leisnig finally sold his rights in Droschinicz to the monastery. This means that the Buch monastery came into the possession of the entire village with both courts, which also follows from the register of the Buch monastery from 1548.

With the incorporation into Zschoppach, which came into effect on July 1, 1950, the place lost its independence. On March 1, 1994, the then independent municipalities of Böhlen, Dürrweitzschen, Leipnitz, Ragewitz and Zschoppach merged to form the municipality of Thümmlitzwalde . This in turn was incorporated into Grimma on January 1, 2011, which means that Draschwitz has become part of the municipality.

The place was always parish to Zschoppach .
