geography

history

Drobitz and Kütten included as schriftsässige places to manor Ostrava , which from 1485 under the administration of wettinischen Office Delitzsch stood, was physically separated from the latter.

Since the sale of the neighboring Wettin office of Petersberg to Brandenburg-Prussia in 1697 , the Electoral Saxon towns of Kütten and Drobitz had been on the border with the Prussian Duchy of Magdeburg . In 1806 the neighboring town of Petersberg and the Prussian Saalkreis were occupied by French troops. As a result, the now royal Saxon places Kütten and Drobitz bordered from 1807 on the Halle district in the Saale department of the Kingdom of Westphalia .

After the defeat of Napoleon and the end of the Kingdom of Westphalia, Kütten and Drobitz were again Saxon-Prussian border towns from 1813. As a result of the resolutions of the Congress of Vienna , the places of the manor district of Ostrau, like most of the places of the Saxon Delitzsch office, became part of Prussia in 1815. Like most of the manor district of Ostrau, Kütten and Drobitz were assigned to the district of Bitterfeld in the administrative district of Merseburg in the province of Saxony in 1816.

On July 1, 1950 Drobitz was incorporated into Kütten. At the same time, both places moved to the Saalkreis . During the district reform in the GDR , Kütten and Drobitz came to the reduced Saalkreis in the Halle district in 1952 , and this merged into the Saalekreis during the district reform of the state of Saxony-Anhalt in 2007.

When the unified community Petersberg was formed on January 1, 2010, the community Kütten with its district Drobitz became a place within the new large community Petersberg.
