Life

During his school years in the Upper Bavarian town of Weilheim played Enders early 1980s in the Musikschul- big band . Together with his friends Micha and Markus Acher ( The Notwist ) he founded his first band.

After his school days he studied music at the conservatory in Munich , then from 1988 jazz at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz . In 1990, ex- John Coltrane bassist Reggie Workman recommended him to the Free Arts department of New York University's New School . There he studied a. a. with Dave Liebman and Jerry Bergonzi . In the USA he took lessons from Lee Konitz , Branford Marsalis , Donald Byrd , Kenny Werner , Jimmy Cobb and Jim Hall, among others . After his stay in the US, he toured South Africa . There he recorded the CD Reflections of South Africa in 1992 with the Hilton Schilder Trio.

Then he returned to Weilheim. Since the 1990s he has played with Micha and Markus Acher , Andreas Gerth, Caspar Brandner and Ulrich Wangenheim in the band Tied & Tickled Trio . Together with Martin Scales (git), Patrick Scales (bass), Stefan Schmid (piano) and Falk Willis (drums) he founded the group Scalesenders in 1993 .

In 1996 he founded his own quartet. The formation Enders Room (since 2002 with Rebekka Bakken , Wolfgang Haffner and Joo Kraus ) turned out to be a substantial and ultimately successful electro jazz project in the tradition of Bugge Wesseltoft or The Cinematic Orchestra . Enders also programs there, creates electronic effects and plays keyboards . In the combo Triotope he plays with bassist Martin Zenker and drummer Billy Hart .
