Moskauer Platz (Erfurt)
Moskauer Platz is a panel building area in the north of the Thuringian state capital Erfurt . It was built in the 1980s and belongs to the Erfurt-Nord residential complex .
The prefabricated building area stretches between Gispersleben in the north, Berliner Platz in the south, Gera in the east and Hannoversche Strasse in the west. It consists of three complexes and covers an area of 0.88 km². In the western complex is the Budapester Straße with the cultural center and polyclinic as well as some high-rise buildings . The northern area includes Havana and Sofioter streets. This is where residential slabs and the district's elementary and regular school are located . In the eastern part around Helsinkier, Rigaer, Tallinn and Moskauer Strasse there are smaller prefabricated buildings. In total, the area still includes 5247 apartments in 337 buildings, making it the largest prefabricated district in Erfurt. However, numerous apartments have been demolished since reunification. The Thuringia Park to the west of Nordhäuser Strasse serves to supply the district . Tram lines 1 and 3, which lead to the city center, are on Nordhäuser Strasse.
