Erika Krenn

Erika Krenn (born July 16, 1925 in Vienna ; † January 15, 2018 there ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and elementary school director. From 1970 to 1984, Krenn was a member of the Vienna State Parliament and City Council and in 1984 a member of the Austrian National Council .

Krenn attended primary school from 1931 to 1935 and then secondary school between 1935 and 1939. Krenn also graduated from a teacher training college. Professionally, Krenn worked in the wages office of Siemens and Halske, afterwards she was an elementary school teacher and from 1966 elementary school director. In 1976 she was appointed high school councilor.

Krenn was politically active as chairwoman of the women's committee of the SPÖ Vienna- Favoriten and was also a member of the Vienna and federal women's committees of the SPÖ. Between 1970 and 1984 she represented the SPÖ in the Vienna City Council and was a member of the Vienna Landtag, where she held the office of Third President of the Vienna Landtag from 1983 to 1984 . After that she was a member of the National Council from September 7, 1984 to September 11, 1984. In addition, Krenn was a member of the board of trustees of the Viennese retirement homes between 1971 and 1986.
