Martin Margulies

Martin Margulies (born January 14, 1965 in Vienna ) is an Austrian politician ( Greens ). He has been a member of the State Parliament and a member of the Vienna City Council since 2001, and has also been the third President of the State Parliament since 2015.

Martin Margulies studied technical mathematics (branch of business and planning mathematics ) at the Technical University of Vienna and obtained the academic degree Dipl.-Ing. During his studies he was involved in the Austrian student body and was chairman of the student body at the Vienna University of Technology from 1988 to 1989. From 1987 to 1998 he was district councilor for the Josefstadt Greens and from 1992 to 1994 financial advisor for the Vienna Greens. From 1996 to 2001 he was also a member of the board of the Wiener Grünen and between 1997 and 2001 he was regional manager of the Wiener Grünen. Margulies has been a member of the State Parliament and Vienna City Council since 2001 and represents the Greens in the 18th legislative period on the Control Committee.

Martin Margulies is married and has two daughters. He is the son of the former member of the state parliament and councilor Jean Margulies .
