European Games 2015 / Boxing
At the European Games 2015 in Baku , Azerbaijan , a total of 263 fights in Olympic boxing (or amateur boxing) were held from June 16 to 27, 2015 , 201 of them for men and 62 for women. The venue was the Bakı Kristal Zalı multifunctional hall, completed in 2012 .
The men boxed in ten weight classes with a preliminary round, round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals, with fights of three rounds of three minutes and a one-minute break between the rounds. As has been customary since 2013, the men boxed without head protection. The preliminary round was omitted for the women with fewer participants, but four rounds of two minutes each were scheduled per fight, with a one-minute break between the rounds. The women also continued to wear head protection. As is customary in amateur boxing tournaments, the two semi-final losers in each weight class received a bronze medal. There was therefore no fight for third place. 212 male and 67 female boxers from 40 nations were entered.

The Albanian bantamweight Rexhildo Zeneli tested positive for a banned furosemide during an out-of-competition check on June 13 , the European Olympic Committee said. Zeneli was therefore excluded from the European Games before his first fight.
Only five fights ended prematurely by TKo or knockout, four more by walkover (no show).
