The European Darts Championship 2008 was a major tournament of the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) and was played from October 30th to November 2nd, 2008 in the Südbahnhof in Frankfurt am Main .
Since it was the first edition of the European Darts Championship, there was no defending champion. Phil Taylor secured the first title in tournament history, defeating Adrian Lewis 11: 5 legs in the final .
