The European Darts Championship 2018 is a major tournament in darts and was organized for the eleventh time by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) from October 25th to 28th . The venue for the first time was the Westfalenhalle in Dortmund .

The tournament victory was secured by the Englishman James Wade , who prevailed in the final with 11: 8 legs against the Australian Simon Whitlock .

format

The tournament was played in legs using the knockout system . The number of legs to be won per round increased. Game mode in the 1st round was a best of 11 legs . By the finale, the mode rose to best of 21 legs . Each leg was played in 501 double-out mode.

Prize money

The tournament totaled £ 400,000. The prize money is distributed among the participants as follows:
