The PartyPoker.net European Darts Championship is the highest endowed darts tournament in continental Europe and was held from July 28th to 31st, 2011 in its fourth edition. The venue for the first time was the Maritim Hotel in Düsseldorf .

The title holder of the three years before was the English record world champion Phil Taylor .

The European Darts Championship 2011 was broadcast live on Sport1 on German television . The pay TV channel Sport1 + showed the match days live and in full.

A total of £ 200,000 in prize money was distributed.

  • The first 16 players of the Order of Merit , of which the first 8 were seeded
  • The top 8 players in the Players Championships Order of Merit who were not already eligible to participate via the Order of Merit
  • The 8 first-placed players in the European Order of Merit who were not already qualified via one of the two aforementioned rankings
