Fire and Gasoline (Spontaneously Combustible) - Live! is the second live album by the Swiss hard rock band Krokus .

background

In contrast to the first live album Alive and Screamin ' , the live album Fire and Gasoline (Spontaneously Combustible) - Live! Was produced by Patrick Aeby and Dominique Favez . At a time when Krokus were on a high: The previous studio release Rock the Block was the first number 1 album in the band's history and also went platinum in Switzerland. With this euphoria in their luggage, it went after the Rock the Block European Tour, where the band gave concerts in their home country, in Spain, in Sweden, in Austria, in Germany and in the Netherlands. The three shows in Zuchwil , Herisau and Zurich in Switzerland, as well as the appearance at the Sweden Rock Festival in Sölvesborg , Sweden, were used for the live testimony . With many band classics from the albums Metal Rendez-Vous , Hardware , One Vice at a Time , Headhunter and Heart Attack but also a few more recent songs from To Rock or Not to Be and Rock the Block behind them, the band did it, theirs The line-up did not change from the studio predecessor, transferring the freshness and joy of playing from the studio to the stage. The fans in Switzerland honored this with 6th place in the domestic album charts. But despite these successful experiences, the band line-up could not be held together again. After longtime band leader and songwriter Fernando von Arb left, Mandy Meyer took over the lead guitar for the subsequent North American tour. In addition, with the change from Patrick Aeby to Stefan Schwarzmann, another change took place in the drums position before the studio successor Hellraiser should be recorded. Fire and Gasoline (Spontaneously Combustible) - Live! was published in addition to the regular standard edition as a limited edition, which contains the two live CDs and the DVD Live at the Montreux Jazz Festival , which is only available in this package .
