The Football League Two 2014/15 was the eleventh season of the English Football League Two as the fourth highest English division behind the Premier League , the Football League Championship and the Football League One as well as the 23rd season of the third highest division of the Football League after the introduction of the Premier League in 1992. It started on August 9, 2014. The last game day was May 2, 2015. The three top-ranked clubs, Burton Albion , Shrewsbury Town and Bury FC , were promoted directly to Football League One, the clubs places four to seven played in play-off mode for fourth promotion place. The play-off final was won by fifth-placed Southend United . Descent had Cheltenham Town and Tranmere Rovers .
