The Gmina Otmuchów ( German municipality Ottmachau ) is an urban-and-rural municipality in the powiat Nyski . It belongs to the Opole Voivodeship in Upper Silesia , Poland .
The seat of the 187.41 square kilometer municipality with 14,225 inhabitants is the town of Otmuchów with almost 5000 inhabitants, which is also part of this municipality. The municipality comprises 39 localities and borders the city of Giżycko and the municipalities of Głuchołazy , Kamiennik , Nysa , Paczków , Pakosławice and Ziębice, and the Czech Republic .
Partnerships
On December 11, 1993, a partnership agreement was signed with the German city of Bernkastel-Kues , and there is also a partnership with the Polish municipality of Czarne in the Pomeranian Voivodeship .
