Gregory "Greg" Alan Lewis (* 12. February 1980 in Chicago , Illinois ) is a former American American football poker players on the position of wide receiver . He played for the Philadelphia Eagles and the Minnesota Vikings in the National Football League (NFL).

Career

college

Lewis attended the University of Illinois , but played only a subordinate role in their football team and received no scholarship . He left college with no athletic awards.

NFL

The Philadelphia Eagles signed the wide receiver in 2003 without being drafted . During his time with the Eagles he completed 90 games, caught 127 passes for 1,699 yards and seven touchdowns . In March 2009 Lewis came to the New England Patriots as part of a swap deal , but was released from his contract at the beginning of the season.

Just days later, Lewis signed with the Minnesota Vikings . He started that same month, in his first game for the Vikings, the game-winning touchdown to 27:24 against the San Francisco 49ers . At this point there were only two seconds left to play. In spring 2010 the contract was extended for another year.
