Handball Regional League West 1972/73
The 1972/1973 season of the men's regional handball league was the fourth in its history. A total of 20 teams in a north and a south relay played for the West German championship. The first two of each season played for the title of West German champion in 1973.
Four teams had to relegate to the upper leagues: LTV Wuppertal (Lower Rhine), TuS Eintracht Minden (Westphalia), TV 08 Kärlich (Rhineland) and ESV Olympia Cologne (Middle Rhine).
