Handball Regional League West 1998/99

The 1998/1999 season of the Handball -Regionalliga West of the men was the 29th in their history. A total of 28 teams in a north and a south relay played for the West German championship. The four best-placed teams of their squadron played for the title of West German champions in 1999 after 26 match days. This was achieved by the Ahlener SG .

Borussia Mönchengladbach (Middle Rhine) and TS Bendorf (Rhineland-Palatinate) had to relegate three teams to the upper leagues . In addition, TV Weiden (Middle Rhine) and Wuppertaler SV (Lower Rhine) withdrew their team for the next season.
