Handball Regional League West 2004/05

The 2004/2005 season of the men 's regional handball league was the 34th in its history. 16 teams played for the West German championship. The table leader after the 30th matchday was automatically West German champions 2005. ASV Hamm achieved this with a balance of 50:10 points.

HSG Bielefeld (formerly HSG 02 Bielefeld) and Ibbenbürener Spvg moved from the Regionalliga Nord to the west relay.

Three teams had to be relegated to the upper leagues: Borussia Mönchengladbach (Middle Rhine), HSG Bielefeld (Westphalia), and HSG Schwerte-Westhofen (Westphalia). Furthermore, the Wermelskirchener TV withdrew its team.
