Handball Regional League West 1999/2000
The 1999/2000 season of the men 's regional handball league was the 30th in its history and the last in which the championship was held in two seasons. A total of 28 teams in a north and a south relay played for the West German championship. The four best-placed teams of their season played for the title of West German Champion 2000 after 26 match days. HC 93 Bad Salzuflen achieved this .
Five teams were relegated to the upper leagues: Schalksmühler TV (Westphalia), TuRa Bergkamen (Westphalia), Fortuna Saarburg (Rhineland-Palatinate), VfL Gummersbach Juniors and HSG Irmenach-Kleinich . In addition, the TuS Ferndorf (Westphalia), the TV Brechte (Westphalia), the TV Forsbach (Middle Rhine), the SV Urmitz (Rhineland-Palatinate) and the TV Vallendar (Rhineland-Palatinate) waived their regional league place.
The HSG Spenge-Lenzinghausen was dissolved and the TuS Spenge took over the place.
