Handball Regional League West 2000/01

The 2000/2001 season of the men 's regional handball league was the 30th in its history. 16 teams played for the West German championship. The table leader after the 30th matchday was automatically West German champions 2002. HSG Römerwall achieved this with a balance of 51: 9 points.

It was the first season in which the Regionalliga West was played in only one season (previously seasons North and South).

Three teams had to be relegated to the top leagues: TVE Bad Münstereifel (Middle Rhine), HSG Biewer-Pfalzel / Trier (Rhineland-Palatinate) and TSV Bayer Dormagen 2 (Middle Rhine).
