Handball Regional League West 2005/06

The 2005/2006 season of handball Regional League West of the men was the 35th in their history. 17 teams played for the West German championship. The top of the table after the 32nd matchday was West German champions 2006. TUSEM Essen achieved this after being relegated from the 1st Bundesliga due to insolvency with a score of 63: 1 points.

GWD Minden 2 moved from the Regionalliga Nord to the west season.

Four teams had to relegate to the upper leagues: TV Aldekerk (Lower Rhine), MTV Rheinwacht Dinslaken (Lower Rhine), TuS Derschlag (Middle Rhine) and TuS Niederpleis (Middle Rhine). Furthermore, DJK Unitas Haan pulled his team back to the association league.
