Handball Regional League West 1984/85
The season 1984/1985 of handball Regional League West of the men was the 15th in their history. A total of 24 teams in a north and a south relay played for the West German championship. The two best-placed teams of their season played for the title of West German champions in 1985 after 22 match days. This was achieved by TV Emsdetten .
TuS 04 Bayer Leverkusen merged with Bayer Leverkusen to form TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen and thus continued to play as TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen 2 .
Four teams had to relegate to the upper leagues: Sportfreunde Hamborn 07 (Lower Rhine), TV Angermund (Lower Rhine), VfL Gummersbach 2 (Middle Rhine) and TV Siesbach (Rhineland-Palatinate).
