Handball Regional League West 1982/83
The 1982/1983 season of the men's handball regional league west was the 13th in its history. A total of 24 teams in a north and a south relay played for the West German championship. The two best-placed teams of their season played for the title of West German champions in 1983 after 22 match days. TuS Derschlag did this in the final against TSV Bayer Dormagen . Both teams rose.
Two teams had to be relegated to the upper leagues: SC Herford (Westphalia) and TuS Niederpleis (Middle Rhine).
