history

Hartmanice was probably founded in the 11th century. In 1437 the place was mentioned for the first time in the deed of donation of Emperor Sigismund about the rule of Svojanov as a coronation dowry to his wife Barbara von Cilli . After the division of the Swojanow rule, Hartmanice was part of the bishopric rule until the abolition of patrimonial rule in 1848 and was then assigned to the political district of Leitomischl until 1855 .

In 1712, Count Jakob Hannibal III acquired von Hohenems owned the bistro. A year later, a plague epidemic broke out, killing 36 residents. In 1788, Countess Marie Rebekka Josefa von Harrach , née Hohenems, established a school in Bistrau for the entire rulership. From 1855 until its dissolution in 1960, the place belonged to the Politschka district , with an interruption of five years when it was part of the Boskowitz district during the German occupation from 1940 to 1945 . In 1867 classes began at the village school.
