history

Dörfles arose in the course of the German colonization of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. The place was first mentioned in a document in 1258 as one of the 13 villages under the jurisdiction of Jevíčko. In 1402 the place belonged to Heralt von Kunstadt , who in 1408 received the right of repudiation. Viktorin and Čeněk von Kunstadt inherited the property from him. In 1418 Jan von Boskowitz bought the place. Jaroslav von Boskowitz attached the village to his rule Třebová in 1502 . Dörfles remained subject to this rule until the abolition of patrimonial rule in 1850. Most of the inhabitants of Dörfles were Germans and lived from agriculture. In 1854 the village had 334 inhabitants, in 1900 there were 369. In 1924 a mechanical engineering workshop was established in the village. After the Munich Agreement , the place was incorporated into the German Reich and belonged to the district of Mährisch Trübau from 1939 to 1945 .

During the Second World War, a labor camp was set up in the valley of the Kelinky ( Köllingbach ) stream north of Dörfles for Polish Jews who were used between 1940 and 1942 to build the Reichsautobahn Breslau – Vienna. There was also a camp for Soviet prisoners of war from 1941 to 1945. The German residents were expelled after the war ended.
