Humaitá , officially Município de Humaitá , is a municipality in the south of the Brazilian state of Amazonas . Humaitá is 58 meters above sea level and extends over approximately 33,111 square kilometers. The community had 54,001 inhabitants (estimated by the Brazilian statistical office IBGE as of July 1, 2018) and has a population density of around 1.3 people per km².
After the local elections in 2016, City Prefect (Mayor) is Herivaneo Vieira de Oliveira of the Partido Republicano da Ordem Social (PROS) for the 2017-2020 term of office .
