IC 215 is a spiral galaxy from the Hubble type Sab in the constellation Cetus south of the celestial equator . It is estimated to be 96 million light years from the Milky Way and about 30,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on January 28, 1892 .
