İdil Üner

İdil Üner (born August 1, 1971 in Berlin ) is a German-Turkish actress and director .

Life

Üner attended the drama school of the University of the Arts in Berlin. She made her television and cinema debut in 1994 in Tatort and in Rudolf Thome's film The Secret . Her work with German-Turkish directors such as Fatih Akın and Thomas Arslan made her famous, especially through her leading roles in Dealer (1999) and In July (2000).

In 2001, Üner directed the short film Die Liebenden vom Osman Hotel . The 15-minute strip, for which she also wrote the book, received the German Short Film Award and was awarded the special jury prize at the Spanish Huesca Film Festival. The film was also nominated for “best short film” at the Max Ophüls Festival .

The actress has also directed at the Turkish theater Tiyatrom and at Ballhaus Naunynstraße in Berlin. As a singer she can be heard in several films, for example in 2004 in Gegen die Wand and Die böse alten Lieder .

Since 2008 she plays in the ARD -Kriminalfilmreihe homicide Istanbul (after the Özakin novels of ZDF presenter Hülya Özkan ) the role of Sevim Özakin , wife of Istanbul Commissioner Mehmet Özakin (played by Erol Sander ).

In 2014 she shot twelve episodes for the ZDF series Sibel & Max , which was broadcast in 2015 and 2016. Üner is married to the actor Laurens Walter , with whom she has two daughters.
