Jeison Fabián Murillo Cerón (born May 27, 1992 in Barranquilla ) is a Colombian football player . The central defender and senior international is under contract with Sampdoria Genoa and plays on loan at Celta Vigo .
Career
societies
Murillo moved up from youth at Deportivo Cali in 2009. From January to June 2010 he played for Dépor Aguablanca FC , then he moved to the Spanish first division club FC Granada . There he played for a year for the B-team and was awarded in the 2011/12 season to the third-class FC Cádiz , for which he scored three goals in 21 appearances. In the 2012/13 season Murillo played on loan at the second division UD Las Palmas and narrowly missed promotion with the club after losing playoffs.
After returning to Granada, Murillo came on August 18, 2013 in the 2-1 win against CA Osasuna for the first time in the Primera División . He scored his first goal on January 10, 2014 to take the 1-0 lead in a 4-0 home game against Real Valladolid .
For the season 2015/16 Murillo moved to Inter Milan in the Italian Serie A . He signed a contract that ran until June 30, 2020.
For the 2017/18 season , Murillo was awarded to Valencia CF for a two-year period with a subsequent purchase obligation . In his first season he came to 17 league appearances. In August 2018, Valencia CF withdrew the purchase option of twelve million euros and provided Murillo with a contract until June 30, 2022 including a release clause of 80 million euros. In the first half of the 2018/19 season he only played one league. On January 1, 2019, Murillo moved to FC Barcelona on loan until the end of the season , where the central defenders Samuel Umtiti and Thomas Vermaelen were injured for a longer period of time. Then FC Barcelona had a purchase option of 25 million euros. After Murillo had been used twice in the league by Ernesto Valverde , he left the club with the end of his contract.
For the 2019/20 season, Murillo moved to the Italian Serie A at Sampdoria Genoa . He was officially loaned out for a year, after which Sampdoria is obliged to acquire his transfer rights. Murillo signed a contract that ran until June 30, 2023. In January 2020 he was loaned to Celta Vigo until the end of the season , where he was also placed directly in central defense.
National team
Murillo took part with the Colombian U17 national team in the autumn of 2009 at the U17 World Cup in Nigeria . He was used in six games and scored in a 3-2 win in the round of 16 against Argentina, the goal for a 1-2 goal. After losing 4-0 to Switzerland in the semi-finals , the team finished fourth after a 1-0 defeat against Spain .
In the summer of 2011 Murillo played with the U20 national team at the U20 World Cup in his own country, where he failed with the team in the quarter-finals to Mexico . Murillo made four appearances during the tournament.
On October 10, 2014 Murillo made his debut in a 3-0 win in the friendly against El Salvador in the senior team . In June 2015 he took part with the team in the Copa America in Chile . There he came to four missions and was defeated in the quarterfinals by the Argentines on penalties . He was then recognized as the best young player and accepted into the team of the tournament . Murillo was reappointed to the Colombian squad for the 2016 Copa América Centenario in the United States . In the tournament he came in five games his team used that in the semi-final with 0: 2 in Chile failed and then the match for 3rd place with 1: 0 against the hosts won.
