Jenny Schulz (born November 28, 1983 in Frankfurt (Oder) ) is a German duathlete , triathlete , multiple German champion and European duathlon champion on the long distance (2014).

Career

Her sporting career began in 1997 at the football club KV Frankfurt (Oder), where she was active until 2003. In 2003 she moved to Frankfurt am Main , where she still lives today.

Jenny Schulz was active in running until 2006 and at the end of the year she started the duathlon and subsequently also the triathlon. In 2010 and again in 2011 she became German Duathlon Champion on the short distance and in 2012 she was second.

Vice-World Champion Duathlon 2011

In 2011 she finished fourth at the European Duathlon Championships and in September she was runner-up on the Duathlon short distance in Spain - just two seconds behind Briton Katie Hewison .

In Nancy, France, she was sixth at the Duathlon World Championships in September 2012 and was third in the mixed team. In April 2013 she was third in the Duathlon European Championship in Holland.

2014 European Duathlon Champion long distance

In April 2014 Jenny Schulz became the Duathlon European Champion on the long distance in the Netherlands.

At her first start on the Ironman distance (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running), Jenny Schulz could not finish the competition in Frankfurt in July 2014. At the first edition of the Ironman Mallorca in September, she finished 13th among the professional women.

In May 2016, Jenny Schulz finished second in the Linz Triathlon behind the Austrian Michaela Herlbauer in the middle distance . In August 2018, the 34-year-old won the 17th edition of the Ostseeman with a new course record after 9:12:17 h .
