Joseph Devolder
Joseph Emmanuel Devolder (born July 9, 1842 in Brussels , † January 11, 1919 in Brussels) was a Belgian politician of the Catholic Party .
biography
After attending school, he studied law and was after the promotion for law doctorate as a lawyer based in Brussels.
1884 appointed him prime minister Auguste Beernaert to justice minister in the Cabinet. After a cabinet reshuffle, he was then Minister of the Interior and Minister of Public Education in Beernaert's government between 1887 and 1890.
After he was a member of the Chamber of Deputies between 1886 and 1887 as a representative of the Catholic Party , he became a member of the Senate in 1887 and was a member of it until his death.
For his political services he was awarded the honorary title of Minister of State on May 7, 1900 .
