This discography is an overview of the records published by the jazz musician and composer Julius Hemphill (1938–1995). It includes his own name albums, which he recorded from 1972 to 1993 (section 1) , posthumous publications of Julius Hemphill's music (section 2) , his involvement in collaborative band projects (section 3) , Hemphill's recordings on compilations (section 4) and his participation as a soloist in other productions (section 5) . According to the discographer Tom Lord , he was involved in 45 recording sessions between 1970 and 1995.
