The canton of Carcassonne-2-Sud was a French canton in the Arrondissement of Carcassonne , in the Département Aude and in the Languedoc-Roussillon region until 2015 . It covered the southern part of the city of Carcassonne .
history
The canton Carcassonne-2-Sud was formed in 1997 from parts of the cantons Carcassonne-2 (also renamed Carcassonne-2-North ) and Carcassonne-3 . It was dissolved in March 2015 when the entire department was re-divided into cantons.
