The canton of Le Bassin Chaurien is a French constituency in the Aude department in the Occitanie region . It comprises 22 municipalities in the Arrondissement of Carcassonne . During the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons, it was re-established as the canton of Castelnaudary in 2015 . Another decree gave the canton its current name on January 1, 2016.
