Airoux ( Occitan : Airós ) is a municipality with 163 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the west of the Aude department in the Occitania region of southern France (before 2016: Languedoc-Roussillon ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Carcassonne and the canton of Le Bassin Chaurien (until 2015: canton of Castelnaudary-Nord ). The inhabitants are called Airouxois .

Airoux is about 38 kilometers west-northwest of Carcassonne . Airoux is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Soupex in the north and east, Ricaud in the south and east, Labastide-d'Anjou in the south and south-west, Montferrand in the west and Montmaur in the north-west.
