Saint-Julien-de-Briola ( Occitan : Sant Julian ) is a municipality with 89 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the west of the Aude department in the Occitania region of southern France (before 2016: Languedoc-Roussillon ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Carcassonne and the canton of La Piège au Razès (until 2015: canton Fanjeaux ). The inhabitants are called Saint-Julions .

location

Saint-Julien-de-Briola is about 40 kilometers west-southwest of Carcassonne . The Vixiège limits the municipality in the northeast. Saint-Julien-de-Briola is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Cazalrenoux in the north, Orsans in the east, Saint-Gaudéric in the south, Plavilla in the west and south-west and Ribouisse in the west and north-west.
