Fendeille ( Occitan : Fendelha ) is a French commune with 532 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aude department in the Occitanie region . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Carcassonne and the canton of Le Bassin Chaurien (until 2015: canton of Castelnaudary-Sud ). The inhabitants are called Fendeillois .

Fendeille is about 34 kilometers west-northwest of Carcassonne . Fendeille is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Villeneuve-la-Comptal in the north and west, Castelnaudary in the north and north-east, Mireval-Lauragais in the south and east and Fonters-du-Razès in the south-west.
