Gourvieille ( Occitan : Gorvièla ) is a municipality with 76 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the west of the Aude department in the Occitania region of southern France (before 2016: Languedoc-Roussillon ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Carcassonne and the canton of La Piège au Razès (until 2015: canton of Salles-sur-l'Hers ). The inhabitants are called Gourvieillais .

Gourvieille is about 42 kilometers west-northwest of Carcassonne . Gourvieille is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Avignonet-Lauragais in the north, Baraigne in the east, Belflou in the south and Saint-Michel-de-Lanès in the north-west.
