Fonters-du-Razès ( Occitan : Fonters ) is a municipality with 79 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the west of the Aude department in the Occitania region of southern France (before 2016: Languedoc-Roussillon ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Carcassonne and the canton of La Piège au Razès (until 2015: canton Fanjeaux ). The inhabitants are called Fonterais .

Fonters-du-Razès is about 32 kilometers west of Carcassonne . The Hers-Mort flows through the municipality . Fonters-du-Razès is surrounded by the neighboring communities Villeneuve-la-Comptal in the north, Fendeille in the north and north-east, Mireval-Lauragais in the east and north-east, Laurac in the east, Generville in the south, Saint-Amans in the west and south-west and Payra- sur-l'Hers to the west and north-west.
