Cumiès ( Occitan : Cumièrs ) is a municipality with 36 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the west of the Aude department in the Occitania region of southern France (before 2016: Languedoc-Roussillon ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Carcassonne and the canton of La Piège au Razès (until 2015: canton of Salles-sur-l'Hers ). The inhabitants are called Cumiésiens .

location

Cumiès is located about 37 kilometers west-northwest of Carcassonne . Cumiès is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Molleville in the north, Mas-Saintes-Puelles in the east and north-east, Montauriol in the south, Salles-sur-l'Hers in the west and Belflou in the north-west.
