Saint-Sernin is a municipality with 38 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the west of the Aude department in the Occitania region of southern France (before 2016 Languedoc-Roussillon ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Carcassonne and the canton of La Piège au Razès (until 2015 Belpech ). The inhabitants are called Saint-Serninais .

Saint-Sernin is located about 30 kilometers west-northwest of Carcassonne . Saint-Sernin is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Peyrefitte-sur-l'Hers in the north, Mayreville in the east, Pech-Luna in the southeast, Belpech in the south and west and Mézerville in the west.
