Saint-Amans ( Occitan : Sant Amanç ) is a municipality with 64 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the west of the Aude department in the southern French region of Occitania (before 2016: Languedoc-Roussillon ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Carcassonne and the canton of La Piège au Razès (until 2015: canton Belpech ). The inhabitants are called Saintamanais .

Saint-Amans is about 25 kilometers west-northwest of Carcassonne . Saint-Amans is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Payra-sur-l'Hers in the north, Fonters-du-Razès in the east and northeast, Generville in the southeast, Gaja-la-Selve in the south and Mayreville in the west.
