Ribouisse ( Occitan : Riboissa ) is a municipality with 109 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the west of the Aude department in the southern French region of Occitania (before 2016: Languedoc-Roussillon ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Carcassonne and the canton of La Piège au Razès (until 2015: canton Fanjeaux ). The inhabitants are called Ribouissiens .
location
Ribouisse is about 40 kilometers west of Carcassonne . The Vixiège limits the municipality to the north. Ribouisse is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Gaja-la-Selve in the north, Cazalrenoux in the northeast, Saint-Julien-de-Briola in the east and southeast, Plavilla in the south and Lafage in the west.
