Plaigne ( Occitan : Planha ) is a southern French municipality with 116 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aude department in the Occitania region . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Carcassonne and the canton of La Piège au Razès (until 2015: canton Belpech ).

location

Plaigne is about 30 kilometers west-southwest of Carcassonne in the south-east of the Lauragais landscape . The Vixiège flows through the municipality . Plaigne is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Pécharic-et-le-Py in the north and north-east, Villautou in the east, Mirepoix in the south and south-east, Lapenne in the south and south-west and Belpech in the west and north-west.
