Sainte-Camelle ( Occitan : Santa Camèla ) is a municipality with 119 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the west of the Aude department in the Occitania region of southern France (before 2016: Languedoc-Roussillon ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Carcassonne and the canton of La Piège au Razès (until 2015: canton of Salles-sur-l'Hers ). The inhabitants are called Camellais .

Sainte-Camelle is located about 35 kilometers west-northwest of Carcassonne . Sainte-Camelle is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Salles-sur-l'Hers in the north, Montauriol in the east and northeast, Peyrefitte-sur-l'Hers in the southeast, Mézerville in the south and La Louvière-Lauragais in the west.
